Weighing the Benefits and Risks of Nanotechnology White Paper

Introduction

Nanomaterials are infinitesimal, but do not let their size fool you. Their surface area actually increases at the nanoparticle scale to infuse these miniature building blocks with unique magnetic, mechanical, structural, optical, and electrical properties that are different from the same chemical at a larger size.
