This MaxSignal Total Aflatoxin Immunoaffinity Column can extract Aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, G2) from the sample solution, thereby having a highly targeted purification effect on the sample. The sample solution that has been purified by passing through the column can be directly used for HPLC or LC-MS/MS analysis after being concentrated with nitrogen gas and resuspended.
Aflatoxins are toxic metabolites of a class of fungi (such as Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus). They are highly carcinogenic and are found mainly in grains, peanuts, nuts, cottonseeds, animal feed, vegetable oils, as well as animal tissues and blood. Among them, Aflatoxin B1 ranks first in terms of toxicity, carcinogenicity and frequency of contamination.
The basis of the IAC measurement is the antigen-antibody interaction. All the main toxin antibodies are embedded throughout the column. After a sample is extracted and filtered, it is slowly passed through the IAC. The toxins bind to their corresponding antibody in the column. The IAC is then washed to remove unbound substances. The toxins are then eluted with the eluent, concentrated using nitrogen gas, then injected into an analytical instrument for detection. Affinity columns can be used in combination with HPLC and LC-MSMS to achieve rapid testing, and to increase signal-to-noise ratio and improve the accuracy of the detection method.
This kit is manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001.

Combination of Immunoaffinity Column with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) or LC-MS/MS is a quantitative method for the detection of mycotoxins in samples such as grains, nuts, feed, dairy and more. Samples are purified by the column and then analyzed with HPLC or LC-MSMS.
