Product is intended to be used for Down’s syndrome screening both in first and second trimester together with other markers. This solid-phase, two-site fluoroimmunometric assay is based on the direct sandwich technique in which hAFP is detected using two monoclonal antibodies directed against two seperate separate antigenic determinants on the hAFP molecule. Free hCGβ is detected in a similar way using two different monoclonal anti-hCGβ antibodies.
