Cytidine triphosphate, labeled on the alpha phosphate group with 32P, is typically used in reactions involving enzymes that will incorporate the ribonucleoside monophosphate (base, sugar, and alpha-labeled phosphate) into a chain of RNA. Common applications include:

  • RNA labeling
  • Labeling with:
    • SP6 RNA polymerase
    • T3 RNA polymerase
    • T7 RNA polymerase

EasyTides products are provided in a proprietary buffer that contains a dye to aid in pipetting, and can be stored at 4°C (avoiding freeze-thaw cycles). BLU products are packaged in a lead-free container (“pig”). NEG products are packaged in a lead-lined container (plastic pig containing a layer of lead).
