Optimized NGS Configurations
Available in two configurations with 96 or 384 sample pipetting options, both optimized for NGS applications. Fontus NGS workstations offer an integrated on-deck thermocycler, peripherals and UV light and allow for fast NGS library prep start up using pre-developed, vendor-qualified library prep methods.
Improved Usability
Customers will be greeted by an all-new enclosure with greater deck access and improved ergonomics, along with updated safety guarding and a new front and side door design, all in a smaller footprint. The Fontus workstation features the proven Varispan high performing pipetting arm and integrates the high precision, partial tip loading, 96 or 384 fixed-array Sciclone® head.
Advanced Liquid Handling Capabilities
Plate handling can be done by the integrated array-head gripper or an optional paddle gripper on the Varispan arm. Numerous other features and design elements such as fine-tuned tip alignment, static clean option, integrated enclosure, upgraded error handling, and more, were implemented to increase reliability, performance, and to reduce start-up time.
Enabled Sustainability
Gone are the days of relying on external robots to supply pipette tips, thanks to the intuitive design of the off/on-deck stacked tip storage system and with separate waste chutes designated for biohazard and box materials, customers can now easily collect and recycle the used tip boxes.
Customizable to your assay needs
Additionally, the Fontus workstation is available as a custom-tailored liquid handler to meet your individual assay needs with respect to deck size, storage, peripherals, barcodes and more.
