Sarafloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic which works by inhibition of bacterial DNA- topoisomerase II. It has been proposed for use in the drinking water of poultry to treat bacterial disease, and in fish feed to treat diseases such as furunculosis, vibriosis and enteric redmouth.
