The kit comes with a polystyrene NIST Traceable Reference Material (TRM) that is mounted in a holder specially designed for use with the ATR accessory for abscissa calibration. The material is valid for a period of 18 months from the date shown on the calibration certificate, or sooner if specified by the user's own protocols. It is intended for use with single bounce ATR accessories where the active crystal area can be completely covered by the test sample surface.
